The regular skin surface is a barrier to penetration of over the counter creams and lotions. Those products are not absorbed past the upper surface to the point they would reach the blood. To affect the fetus an agent must achieve a level in the blood high enough to reach the placenta. I would not be concerned about Hirschsprung's or any other defect.
