A member asked:

Vagina yeast infection: doctor gave me fluconazole 150mg to be taken for 3 consecutive days. does fluconazole cause discharge to fall out? is this a bodys way of eliminating yeast? my discharge becomes more noticeable only when on this medication?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fluconazole is taken once for a mild yeast infection and can be repeated in 3 days if there is no improvement. You didn’t say if your infection cleared up. If it didn’t it may not be a yeast infection but another type.
