A member asked:

Hi, i have a question about birth control and infertility. i've been doing research on this and found that birth control pills don't cause infertility and seldom cause long term fertility issues. is this true?

Yes, that is correct. It is arguable as well whether there are any long term issues truly caused by the pills as opposed to them simply masking an underlying and preexisting problem.

Although of course the use of birth control pills do "create infertility" if utilized correctly, after discontinuing, while other issues may surface needful of treatment before elimination of infertility is accomplished, birth control pills do not "cause" infertility or does use of same confer "long term fertility issues".
