In addition to advice about having thyroid function tests I'm a believer in having a thyroidologist or endocrinologist follow you. Even though the presence of more than one nodule favors benign nodules there is a 5% chance of malignancy Complex thyroid nodules have both a solid and liquid component. I leave the decisions to biopsy thyroid nodules to the specialist.
