Fungal spores are found not only in dirty socks, but in moist communal bathroom settings and other absorbant humid areas. These can infect your feet/nails if not properly treated. Look for scaly, red, itchy skin especially in between toes and nails that harden and show green/yellow discoloration. Treat fungal infections with an athletes foot spray containing clotrimazole, miconazole or terbinafine
