A member asked:

When bacteria becomes resistant to one drug does it become resistant to other antibiotics too?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antibiotic resistance is a major problem, as some bacteria are resistant to multiple types of antibiotics, making effective treatment difficult. Unless a positive culture and sensitivity is performed, random treatment with antibiotics is not a good option.
