Constipation generally responds to conservative treatment including drinking adequate water, eating a lot of fruit & vegetables & getting adequate exercise. However if this continues for 2 weeks, there's blood in your stools, pain, no response to conservative measures, unusual weight loss or other illnesses you should be examined by a physician who will consider further treatment.
