Floaters are not uncommon as one gets older but sudden changes may indicate a need to see the Eye Specialist, Ophthalmologist sooner than later.

With eyes closed, these are not vitreous floaters but after images of lights or images you had looked at. The water did not cause it. https://www.ceenta.com/news-blog/why-do-i-see-afterimages
