I take rosuvastatin and it make me itch can i take benadryl to stop the itching?

Long term treatment with benadryl (a sedating agent) can result in daytime sleepiness and other undesirable side effects. Try a non sedating anti-histamine such as loratadine(claritin) or fexofenadine(allegra). Talk to your prescribing Dr as sometimes the itching can turn into a more serious allergic reaction. They may want to change the treatment to another statin.
