Eosinophilic asthma is a subtype of asthma which is often severe. Research has shown that an increased number of eosinophils in the blood correlates with future risk and severity of asthma attacks in these patients. New and emerging biologics which target eosinophils may help these patients to better control their asthma. Be well!
