The current recommended dosing of amoxicillin for children is 90 mg per kilogram per day divided into two or three doses. 60 lbs. is 27.3 kg times 90 equals 2,455 mg so your dose is appropriate. It may help to have some food in your stomach before taking it or ask your doctor if you could have a small dose of Zofran or other anti-nausea medicine to take with the amoxicillin. Hope you feel better
