Vertebral body sclerosis (bone sclerosis) can be caused by many things both benign and malignant. Benign lesions are common including bone islands and fibrous lesions. However, since there are cancers that are possible (including metastasis) further evaluation by your doctor is necessary. That will begin with assessment of underlying diseases and u may need follow up imaging like MRI or bone scan
