Normal finding: These are protrusions of disc material into the surface of the vertebral body, which may contact the marrow of the vertebra and lead to inflammation (but usually dont cause any inflammation). However, these are not uncommonly seen and usually have no clinical significance. In other words, nothing to worry about and would not be a source of pain.
