Without knowledge of where you live, labor laws, or where you work, the best guess would be to ask your employer. They may or may not allow for extended time off from work, especially if there is no underlying medical issue.

This may be dependent on your particular employer as to what they require. Most places require a physicians note listing any complications you may have to justify the extended time
