Blood sugar levels rise according to what you eat. Check out low carb eating plans and the glycemic index of foods. Diabetics have a hard time lowering the blood sugar because they either are not making insulin (type 1) or their body is resisting the insulin it makes (type 2). Your doctor can evaluate if you are diabetic or prediabetic. Maintaining a normal body weight can help prevent type 2.
