A member asked:

30yr old female, non smoker, but worked at a laser facility that did not use good safety precautions. was exposed to laser hair plume every day for a year. now worried about developing lung cancer from the toxins. should i see a pulmonologist? scared?

I am not aware of the cancer risk from the exposure you described. Getting too many test done has its own complications. You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure to sun, get HPV vaccine, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.
