It would likely be wise to see a doctor if you do have bleeding that you feel is abnormal and concerns you. There are several possibilities which could include uterine fibroids, endometriosis, possible pregnancy and fetal demise in right circumstance, endometrial or cervical cancer are less common but would be a possibility. Also of importance is that anemia can result from the blood loss.

It often depends on the level of the discomfort. These are not uncommon symptoms as long as they are sporadic and not all the time. If it’s just an isolated incident see if it resolves if it doesn’t then yes it’s worthwhile getting checked
