A member asked:

What is the best way to treat lower back pain stemming from hip alignment issues? are skeletal muscle relaxants helpful or are there better, natural solutions?

In my opinion, muscle relaxer medications are minimally effective. Hip mis-alignment could be secondary to leg length discrepancy, and a heel lift might help. A visit to an osteopath or a physiatrist may provide some guidelines. Physical therapy is of value.

Podiatrist are trained in biomechanical function of the lower extremities and lower back. With custom orthotics and possible lift therapy would be incorporated into the orthotics. The podiatrist can also prescribed physical therapy and exercises as well. This would provide you with a long-term benefit
