Myth. On the one hand if you drink enough you can die of alcohol toxicity. That can occur at any age, including growing kids. It can also make you do unsafe things & get you killed, both scenarios that can stop further growth. Aside of such events, I know of no evidence that an occasional drink will stunt growth. At age 18 you are done growing taller anyway.

Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it. It will destroy your brain cells, damage testicular cells that make testosterone, facilitate development of cancer in many organs, cause hepatitis, cirrhosis and pancreatitis etc. There is no safe level of alcohol intake. Quit while you are ahead.
