A member asked:

Is it necessary to desinfect the groceries or the bowls of food delivered to your home? can you catch covid from those things? i heard different opinions from people out there.... sounds ridiculous to me but who knows... what's the truth?

Early in the pandemic almost 1.5 yr ago, there were concerns about risk from contaminated groceries, food delivery, and mail or packages. But that was before scientific understanding of coronavirus transmission risks. For more than a year it has been clear that these are extremely low risk, probably entire risk free. There is no need to disinfect groceries, other food, mail or other deliveries.
