Distal pancreatectomy/splenectomy four months ago. followup ct shows a lobulated cystic focus along the cut margin of the pancreas. what might this be?

It is likely that the lesion is related to the process that determined the need for pancreatectomy in the first place. The surgeon or the doctor who ordered the CT will be best to place findings in proper clinical context.

In this situation the attending physician should review the images with the radiologist and get input as to what this finding can signify, whether other studies would be helpful, what specialists could be consulted and/or what kind of follow-up is recommended.
