I lost my sense of smell and taste for a couple of days now. i had my moderna vaccine 1st dose last august 17th, could it be a possible side effects of the vaccine? losing sense of taste and sense of smell?

You just had the vaccine and your body could not make the antibody yet so those symptoms are more consistent with Covid-19 infection than the adverse effect of Moderna vaccine. You should quarantine yourself and have the Covid-19 antigen test done. The vaccine does not affect the test result.

The vaccine does not cause loss of sense of smell or taste, but COVID-19 native or variants sure can, and agree, get PCR and quarantine for 10-14 days.
