Black stool suggests blood came from higher up inside the intestine & was partially digested, turning it black. There are other causes of black stools, but this is something you should report to your doc.

We fear the most an upper gi bleed with dark stools that may or may not be related to the pancreatic tumor. Other possibilities for dark stools include certain drugs, supplements or foods that can change the stool color. Reporting to your doc, ideally gastroenterologist, will be best to have it sorted out.
