Please explain this finding from 2013 (6.6 cm lul thick walled cavitary lesion, multiple smaller nodular & ground glass opacities present adjacent to lesion & throughout lul?

I assume these are findings seen on a lung ct scan although they can also be seen on a chest x-ray. They represent serious lung pathologies like a lung abscess with surrounding pneumonia, TB,, cancer, fungal disease ,etc. A pulmonologist and a chest surgeon must have been involved in the care of such a patient.
