CT enterography is a type of computed tomography (CT) imaging which is performed with intravenous contrast material after the ingestion of liquid which helps produce high resolution images of the small intestine & the other structures in the abdomen & pelvis. Abdominal adhesions are not usually visible on CT, but CT can pick up complications from adhesions such as bowel obstruction or ischemia.
