A member asked:

Do i still need to do x ray for detecting kidney disease if i have already done ultrasound for kidney? the ultrasound shows no kidney stones or tumors, nothing. the creatinine and uric acid test results are also normal. is x-ray needed in this case?

Possibly. Radiographs show more detail than ultrasound images. If your urologist is still concerned about your kidney issues s/he will order radiographs to rule out any underlying problem that was not detected in the ultrasound.
