If a nodular melanoma is rubbed off would it have to regrow at the site where it was rubbed off before it metastsizes? or could it spread and metastasize without regrowing at the site ?

It could metastasize before it reappears at the initial site. It is imperative to consult your doctor to ascertain if the lesion you mentioned is a melanoma. It may not be one. Wish you good health!
