Alkaline phophatase varies with age and sex and also with eating before the test. It should be repeated to confirm the value. It comes mainly from liver and bones. If the rest of the liver tests are normal, likely there is nothing to worry about there. If bones are still developing or there is vitamin D deficiency, it could be of bone origin, more tests are needed.
