Do surgical mask protect us? because ive been wearing one all the time for stores or public. but some people say that you will get covid even when masked, and theres gaps. is is true?

Almost everybody has this wrong. Masks don’t protect YOU. They protect those AROUND you from catching the virus you may be spreading. If enough wear masks, everybody gets protected. Not really 100% true but works pretty well. If close to everybody wore masks, viral spread would be MARKEDLY reduced. So sad!

The mask does give you considerable protection but is not a complete safety. Good Luck
