A member asked:

I was diagnosed with vitamin d deficiency & anxiety. i am having leg weakness in one leg, nausea and some lightheadedness for a few days now. i don't take my prescription vitamin d like i should. could this be anxiety or possibly lack of vitamin d?

Focal leg weakness is not a manifestation of Vitamin D deficiency and needs to be evaluated ASAP, especially when associated with additional symptoms. The leg problem will exacerbate your anxiety so address this promptly, but anxiety does not cause your described symptoms. Contact your doctor.

There may be more than one issue. Vitamin D deficiency is easily correctable, though you do need to take 4000 units of vitamin D3 daily. Take this for at least 3 months. You may need consultation for your anxiety issue. Wish you good health!
