Prescribed 500mg 2x daily ciprofloxacin for epididymitis for 1week. currently on day 4 and pain hasnt receded one bit, when am i meant to start feeling better? ive also read many cases where antibiotics fail treating epididymitis, how common this?

Very much depends on cause of epididymitis. At your age, gonorrhea causing the infection is very possible. Cipro will not work for that. Need to see a KNOWLEDGEABLE doc to get a single shot (ceftriaxone) and pills for 10 days (doxycycline)
