Maybe OK, but...: In men under 35 years old, most epididymitis is due to gonorrhea or chlamydia. Ciprofloxacin is not a good drug for either of them; it won't work at all against chlamydia and some gonorrhea strains are resistant. But if you have non-STD epididymitis, cipro may be the right drug. Despite the list of possible toxicity, most people have no side effects at all. Discuss w/ your doctor.
