My sincerest sympathies. You are the victim of a massive disinformation campaign which is creating unnecessary anxiety. ALL reputable docs believe the COVID19 is safe and effective. PERIOD. There are (always) a few kooks out theses anxious to spread disinformation. Don’t know why. Get vaccinated in AM. really, among reputable doc, no debate

THERE IS EVIDENCE THAT YOUNG PEOPLE YOUR DAUGHTERS AGE ARE GETTING COVID. DO YOU WANT TO WAIT 5 YEARS TO SEE IF VACCINE IS SAFE OR POSSIBLY HAVE YOUR DAUGHTER CONTACT COVID AND SUFFER ALL THE CONSEQUENCES? THIS IS A DEADLY DISEASE. MANY OF HER FRIENDS ARE PROBABLY GETTING THE VACCINE AND SHE MAY HAVE TO GET IT TO ENTER SCHOOL.

First, most of the vaccine information online is disingenuous, and cannot be trusted. Doctors on HT have kept up on developments and provide some of the best information I have encountered. Get vaccinated and stop accepting the fiction from "quacks". A statistic: 99.99% of all fully vaccinated patients have not suffered breakthrough COVID-19 resulting in hospitalization or death.

It is so hard to sort out what is real and what is hype. The vaccines are safe, will not cause infertility, will not insert a microchip through the tiny needle used. With the millions of people worldwide who have been vaccinated, almost all have had nothing in the way of side effects. Even the side effects are mostly transient. It is up to you to choose whether to protect your daughter.

The vaccination for this age group has been tested in clinical trials and approved for use. The vaccine is effective and based on the data thus far safe. The infection itself places a child at risk for complications including cardiac complications. While many children have few symptoms with COVID 19 infection, others require hospitalization. Please discuss with local health authorities and M.D.

COVID-19 vaccine is available, safe, and found to be effective for children 6 months and older and adults. In the US, it is emergency use authorized for 6 months and up and fully authorized for 16 years of age and up (Pfizer); 18 years and up for Moderna. I encourage everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated and boosted! (July 2022)
