A member asked:

A while ago i tried eating a lot of leafy greens. i became groggy all the time, so i stopped and it went away. i've recently tried using beet juice to lower bp, and felt the same grogginess. is there a reason for the grogginess?

One of the problems with only eating leafy greens is that there aren't enough carbs, fats or protein to give you heeded energy. Beet juice, because of nitrite formation, has been known to lower blood pressure. Did your BP go too low? I'm not sure if beet juice contains melatonin the way beetroot juice does. Melatonin can induce sleepiness.
