If the ekg was interpreted by computer, the reading of a septal infarction may or may not be accurate. In.my experience interpreting ekg's for many years for hospitals, computer diagnosis of septal infarcts was often inaccurate. Was the physician who overread the ekg experienced in interpreting ekg's? If not, you should consult a cardiologist.

No. Does not rule out a wrong reading. Likely an automated reading by a computer reproduced by the reading doctor. This is a common problem with echo reports and the study needs to be reviewed and your questions answered by the interpreting physician. The term "infarct now present" sounds defenitive and should be confirmed by your primary doctor or the echo reader. I hope you follow up.
