Your genital (and anal) herpes probably isn't the cause. Some persons with HSV2 report such symptoms, but few herpes experts believe HSV2 is the cause. Neurological symptoms that precede outbreaks generally are limited to the area where the outbreak occurs, and not distant anatomic sites.
