It is not pertinent to stop taking this medication, without consulting with the doctor who prescribed it. Have symptoms for which you are taking it been resolved? Wish you good health!

If you stop the sertraline, the symptoms that prompted the original prescription may breakthrough and recur. This is a step to be taken under the close supervision of your doctor, and discussion prior to action on your part is highly advised
