Using steroid (clobetasol) and antifungal (ciclopirox olamine) ointments or creams are fine as a trial treatment for either allergic or fungal dermatitis when the diagnosis is not clear. However, rubbing alcohol can give you a quick relief of itching but it can dry the skin and cause a rebound effect (more itching) later on.Those medications do no harm for your scrotum.
