Period was due on the 3rd of august & now its the 5th. ive had spotting since august 2nd but no period. im 100% sure im not pregnant. ive been taking tylenol cold cough flu day/night caplets since monday, could that be the reason at all?

Some women occasionally skip a cycle for no apparent reason. I would not blame it on simple cold meds. If the absence of menses continues for more than 60-90 days your doc may offer hormonal pills to bring on a cycle. (if your pregnancy test remains negative.)

Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
