Sudden onset of frequent urination (clear) at night and mild (5/10) right-sided lower back pain. no fever, slight nausea (no vomiting), but the pain comes and goes and makes it hard to fall asleep. are these kidney stones or something else?

Very likely having kidney “irritation “. Could be infection, could be stone. (usually stone pain much worse). Either can become very serious. Please see doctor ASAP
