Altered bowel movements are very common after travel. Fiber intake usually isn't involved. Return to your usual diet and activities. See a doctor if the cramps or other symptoms are still continuing after another week or two. If you have diarrhea, don't wait: you might have an intestinal infection, especially if your travel was to a developing country or other setting with maybe poor hygiene.

During travel especially air travel can lead to dehydration as well as excessive caffeine/ alcohol intake, change in diet and certainly possibility of food borne infection. Increase your fluids moderate finer intake. If not resolved in 5-7 days or symptoms worsen, see your doctor promptly. Do not do finer alone as this will make things worse.
