The tip of my penis looks very red and irritated and itches. is there any otc medication i can use? it's been itching for a week and is getting worse ?

If you are sexually active there is concern for a sexually transmitted infection & you should see a Dr for evaluation & testing. However in the meantime you can try a combination of over the counter hydrocortisone 1% cream (for itching) & clotrimazole (for possible fungal infection) & see if helps.

Clean the area and apply any cortisone cream and if not better in a week or you will have to be checked- by a Urologist

Usually I find that the redness and itching is caused by a yeast infection which can be passed back&forth between sexual partners. Ask your pharmacist to recommend an antifungal ointment that can be applied along with the cortisone cream.Ask your sexual partner if she could also have a vaginal yeast infection which requires treatment. Abstain from intercourse until yeast infec,if present,are clear
