I had an mri for severe leg pain. my results stated "l5-s1: degenerative signal intensity in the disc. retrolisthesis of l5 on s1 by 4 mm. a small central disc extrusion slightly extends inferiorly." any recommendations to limit my pain appreciated?

Additional perspective may be achieved via EMG/ NCS of back and legs, as clearcut evidence of nerve compression might suggest benefit of an epidural steroid injection. Physical therapy should be initiated, and perhaps starting in a pool is best. When stabilized, you could use McKenzie back exercises. Would absolutely avoid opioids, but CBD or ketamine might be safe/useful. Ask your doctor.
