The doctor told me to take prilosec for 30 days, but most of the prilosec says like two treatments for 14 days or three of 14 days so is it ok todo 30 days versus the 28 days for when you buy the 28 caplets?

If your doctor will prescribe a proton pump inhibitor, pharmacist will dispense enough for the duration if buying over the counter, you can discuss the duration with your prescriber. In my opinion, symptoms should guide the duration between 28-35. Hope it helps.
