Orthopedic physician: Pain in the hip in your age bracket can occur for many reasons. Certain stresses around the hip can lead to avulsed tendons at muscle insertions. Sometimes the joint space can form fluid, so called synovitis secondary to trauma, inflammation, etc. Sometimes changes in the lower spine and pelvis can refer pain to hip. If symptoms persist an orthepedic physician and imaging will usually help.
