The best thing you can do is to become vaccinated. While no vaccine is 100% effective, reports are that well over 90# of people currently hospitalized for Covid-19 are unvaccinated. Death rate among vaccinated individuals is well under 1%, and much lower than the chance not being struck by lightning. Getting vaccinated is the smartest thing you can do.

So far a person fully vaccinated with the currently available vaccines is less likely to become symptomatic or hospitalized or die, but its not 100%.
