I have a hemorrhoid that is external (can feel small firm circle) & causes stinging pain on/off all thru hemorrhoid area to vaginal area. baths, prep h dont help. can get into dr in 5 days, should i wait or go to er? pain is worse is problem?

If over the counter pain medications like acetaminophen are not helpful and pain is severe and interfering with your life, it would be prudent to go to the ER. Wish you good health!
