I woke up this morning and my left shoulder has a limited range of motion in some directions. no pain at all. should i got see an orthopedic specialist?

Why is shoulder's ROM limited if you do not have any pain? What happens if you try to move your shoulder, is it locked? I have never seen patient with a dislocated shoulder during sleep.

If no history of trauma, this may represent adhesive capsulitis, which can be due to thyroid or diabetic issues. Alternatively, you may be developing a brachial plexus issue, but these typically are quite painful Yes, see orthopedist.
