I had a baby two weeks ago and had a stage 3 hemorrhage after delivery. i originally planned to have the paragard iud placed at my 6 week postpartum visit. is it still safe to use the paragard iud after hemorrhaging?

You need to ask the OB MD who attended the delivery complications this question as the source of the bleeding impacts the appropriate answer. For instance, if the bleeding was due to a uterine laceration then the uterus will need time to heal and placing an IUD too soon could cause a perforation of the uterus.
