A member asked:

I got hit by a car on feb 2 i suffered a broken tibia based on my xray the doctor said i am healing and that the bone is getting bigger and something else about another part of the tibia my doctor ordered a ct scans will ct scan show same thing heal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The XR takes the 3-dimensional structure of your tibia and flattens it into a 2-dimensional picture, losing some detail in the process. The CT restores the 3-D structure and gives additional detail when the XR suggests an area may be slow to heal. Speak to your doctor about hat they are looking for with the CT and explain their concerns…
